Stephanie Marvel Injured in Car-Chicken Truck Crash on Coastal Highway

Milford, DE (August 24, 2017) – The woman who was injured in a collision with a chicken truck on Coastal Highway Tuesday afternoon has been identified as Stephanie Marvel, 43, of Maryland. According to the initial investigation, the collision occurred at around 3:10 p.m. August 22, near Bakerfield Road.
Marvel was driving her 2013 GMC Terrain northbound on the highway when she struck a 2017 Freightliner chicken truck that was crossing over to turn south on the highway. The SUV hit the truck with its front bumper and traveled a short distance prior to coming to a stop. The Freightliner truck, on the other hand, stayed put at the scene of the accident.
Marvel was removed by first responders and was brought to the Beebe Memorial Hospital for the treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Freightliner truck was identified as Donald A. Jones. He was not injured in the crash.
Based on the investigation of the Delaware State Police, Jones was found at fault for Failure to Yield Right of Way.
