2 Sustain Serious Injuries in Hockessin Crash in New Castle County

New Castle County, Delaware (August 30, 2017) – Two cars collided in Hockessin injuring a man critically on Tuesday morning, according to authorities.

The incident was reported at about 6:00 a.m. August 29, at the intersection of Limestone Road and Village Drive in New Castle County.

New Castle County Paramedics, the Hockessin and Mill Creek Fire Companies and Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder responded to the crash.

A man, 22, was examined on the crash site for chest, hip and head injuries. He also had sustained body abrasions in the crash.

He was taken to Christiana Hospital on board an ambulance from Mill Creek Fire Company alongside with New Castle County Paramedics. He was in a serious condition at the time of transport. Another victim was taken to Christiana Hospital for examination.

Limited details on the identity of the victims and the cause of the accident were available.

An investigation into the incident is being headed by the Delaware State Police.
