Man, 64, Hospitalized in Construction Site Accident in Hockessin

Hockessin, Delaware (September 1, 2017) – A man of 64 years was taken to a trauma center following a construction site accident in New Castle County on Friday morning, according to troopers and paramedics.

The crash was reported just after 8:00 a.m., September 1, in the 600 block of Center Mill Road in Hockessin.

Crews responded to the incident and found a 64-year-old man who had fallen from a home that was under construction.

The man reportedly may have fallen on construction materials.

The man was attended to at the crash site and taken to a nearby landing zone to an awaiting Trooper 4.  Christiana Hospital’s Trauma Center was alerted of the victim’s injuries as he was being loaded into the helicopter.

The helicopter left the scene, and in minutes the victim had been hospitalized and was undergoing treatment.

Limited details regarding the cause of the incident and the identity of the victim were available at the time of the report.

An investigation into the incident is still ongoing headed by New Castle County Police.
